Slave - Watching You

I couldn't post Inside Out by Odyssey without pairing it with this tune. Not only are both tunes incredibly similar but I think the lyrics also share a bit of a creepy vibe.

Has anybody got any insight into why these tunes are so alike?

The Shades Of Love - Keep In Touch (Body To Body)

Baby Huey - Hard Times

Blair - Nightlife

Odyssey - Inside Out

Is Inside Out one of the saddest songs that the usually joyous genre of disco ever threw out? Garry Mulholland wrote a fantastic summary of its lyrical content in his book "This is Uncool: The 500 Greatest Singles Since Punk and Disco".

Pleasure - Take A Chance

Brian Bennett - Solstice

Bohannon - Summertime Groove

The Mix Series Set to Continue

People of the internet, just a quick word to let you know we have a few more mix series bubbling away from our fellow bloggers.

Judging by the quality of the posts these guys put out there I know what's coming will be jaw dropping stuff.

You lucky, lucky people - have a good weekend.

Remember - previous mixes are permanently available on the right hand side of the blog about half way down. Reading this in an RSS aggregator? Head to the blog here - www.uglytalented.co.uk

Toto - Georgy Porgy

Well, we're back from our holidays.

Electric Elephant was immense fun and I want to give a shout out to the revellers on the Low Life boat party and big respect to Mudd for his awesome Sunday afternoon session.

Balearica is dead, long live Adriatica!

Stevie Wonder - Race Babbling

Baby Huey - Running

Two Lone Swordsmen - Shack 54

DB and BE

These guys are just so intriguing and been at the forefront of music for so long it's great to see them back out with a new album. Possibly more coherent than 'Life in the Bush of Ghosts', but special nevertheless.

And TV On The Radio are back out too - sonic treats for us all. Get buying.

David Byrne and Brian Eno - Poor Boy

TV On The Radio - Dancing Choose

Dam-Funk - Dam Funk
