Green and Green







Another trip down the M5/M6 for a weekend in the country left me to sift through some of the tracks that I've been dying to listen to for the past week or so. Grant Green is probably one of the most under-rated jazz guitar players of all time - timelessly cool and a real inspiration. He played with Elvin Jones who drummed for John Coltrane and really started making waves at the start of the sixties with his powerhouse rhythm section. Sadly he died at the age of 44.
