Buddy Miles R.I.P.

Buddy Miles, awesome drummer and singer who played with Jimi Hendrix, sadly died on Tuesday night at the age of 60 in Austin, Texas.

Miles, Hendrix, and Billy Cox were the infamous Band of Gypsys but before Buddy joined the legendary band he drummed and sang in his own band, The Buddy Miles Express. He later went on to work with Carlos Santana and was also the vocalist behind the famous California Raisins adverts in the 80s.

Here is my favourite Buddy Miles track which I posted to kickstart 2008...

Diana Ross - Love Hangover

Click here for an iPhone friendly video

I originally wanted to put the video of Kanye West performing Stronger with "Daft Punk" working the Jazz Mutants at the Grammys last week but they don't seem to last 5 minutes on YouTube.

So why not enjoy some classic Miss Ross instead?
